We are looking for you,
Chemical Compliance Specialist
to a temporary position planned to start in January and to end in October 2024 (exact dates may change) in our Product and Chemical Safety team in Neste Headquarters in Espoo, Finland.
You will focus on compiling up-to-date safety data sheets for Neste products and in ensuring that Neste is in compliance with chemical legislation in all countries of our operations. In this job you will work closely with our Chemical Compliance and safety experts in HSSEQ and Business units.
In our team, you will be part of a nice and enthusiastic group of experts ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements on manufacturing and supplying chemicals. You will contribute to the important safety communication Neste provides to its customers and also learn about managing new regulatory requirements in an international company. Your role in our team
- Compile safety data sheets for Neste products and ensure their availability in the format and language needed for each country of supply or Neste’s own employees using chemicals
- Support Business Units in ensuring that our products are in full compliance with all chemical legislation requirements in each country of operation
The best combination to succeed in this role
- Studies in natural sciences or technology
- Good language skills in English with capability to provide clear and understandable written text and verbal performance. Finnish language skills is an advantage.
- Competence and skills in chemicals legislation requirements in EU and elsewhere, preferably good know-how on the classification criteria in the global GHS system for hazardous chemicals
- Preferably experience in compiling safety data sheets
- Ability to learn new tools to compile and share SDS documentation
- Capability, experience and enthusiasm to implement detailed and technical legal requirements into practise
- Security minded way of working with confidential data
- Responsible attitude and safety-oriented mindset
We also value good decision-making and cooperation skills and ability to communicate fluently in different situations.
