Division Sales Specialist, Specification Management (flexible location)

We are looking for a Division Sales Specialist for the Specification Management application in ABB Large Motors and Generators (MOLM) division. The application focuses on the early phase of handling incoming Request for Quotations (RFQs). RFQs often contain specifications that specify the technical standards for motor or generator requirements. The goal of this application is digitalizing the entire process of extracting motor and generator requirements from specifications and mapping the requirements to motor and generator configurations. Currently, our MOLM division is collaborating with various ABB divisions, which presents a unique opportunity for you to be part of this cross-division collaboration and write the future together with creative and motivated professionals.
You will report to the Manager - Sales Tools and Business Processes.
***The ideal candidate is located in Finland, other European locations can be considered.***
Willingness to travel is required (up to 10%).

Your responsibilities
  • Define the vision for the Specification Management tool within the MOLM division.
  • Discover business and user needs, identify the gaps between what the Specification Management tool offers and what the MOLM division requires.
  • Contribute feature requests to the Specification Management tool backlog, capable of prioritizing the backlog items, and define the Specification Management tool roadmap within the MOLM division.
  • Apply the Specification Management tool to the MOLM division by conducting trainings for users of the tool and collect user feedback for the development team.
  • Maintain a strong focus on users of the Specification Management application, collaborate closely with developers, designers, and engage effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Monitor project cost and budget, vendor agreement, and project resource.

Your background
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in motor/generator Sales and handling a variety of different product specifications.
  • BSc or MSc in the Engineering, Business Administration or other relevant fields.
  • Experience in working with sales tools and a keen interest in developing tools, processes and systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, especially in relation to requirement/priority management with users and delivery management with vendors and IS.
  • Experience in demand, delivery, and continuous operations management.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience in project management, preferably related to process and software development.
  • Knowledge of Scrum or other Agile development framework would be an advantage.
  • A profound understanding of the current specification reading process, end-to-end quotation process, toolset and the ways of working in the MOLM division would be a plus.
  • Excellent in English language skills, other languages are a plus.
