Are you a (tech) B2B marketing generalist, skilled in digital marketing? Would learning about a deep tech industry and working in a growing scale-up company with a truly international setting sound interesting?
We at Canatu are in search of a
MARKETING SPECIALIST
with strong proficiency in digital marketing. As a Marketing Specialist at Canatu, you will have a hands-on role with an emphasis on work tasks related to digital advertising, added with a variety of other tasks too. You will work in an efficient marketing team consisting of you and your line manager, VP, Marketing & Communications, and together as a team you will have the possibility to develop the marketing functions further.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Website: optimize website performance. Implement strategies to increase organic traffic and conversions. Update the website as necessary, and coordinate agreed-upon developments with the agency.
  • SEO: implement and further develop SEO strategy. Identify potential search terms in collaboration with your line manager. Coordinate keyword analyses with an agency. Identify relevant search terms with sufficient search volumes. Plan and execute actions to improve organic search traffic. Monitor performance and report on progress.
  • Paid campaigns: create, optimize, and report on paid advertising campaigns across Google platforms (particularly SEM, Display, and Pmax) and LinkedIn. Participate in monthly operative meetings and quarterly development meetings with the digital agency and your line manager to track performance and strategize for the future. Ensure agreed-upon actions are implemented and analyze data hands-on on Google Ads to identify areas for improvement.
  • Analytics: gather data and analyze key insights from reporting dashboards (web, ads, PR, CRM), updating the KPI table monthly. Proactively identify actionable insights from dashboards and propose and implement improvement actions.
  • Email marketingcreate, implement, and optimize email marketing campaigns to engage existing contacts with the latest updates. Create content, build emails hand-on, and track performance using LianaMailer.
  • Content creation, repurposing, and optimization: repurpose, distribute, and promote existing content to expand its reach and lifespan. Update PowerPoint presentations and printed materials. Create search term -optimized web content to increase organic search traffic. Repurposing existing content into SoMe posts, email newsletter content etc. Creating new content (long-term goal), SoMe management, LinkedIn + YouTube (long-term)
  • Content management: keep the website, Marketing intranet page, media bank, and CRM system updated with the latest plans, assets, contacts, and other relevant resources.
  • Graphic design: execute minor photo editing tasks such as resizing and retouching photos. Create marketing assets like banners for digital ads and SoMe posts utilizing existing ads as templates. Create simple illustrations for slide decks to simplify complex concepts. Design flyers for events, posters, and other marketing assets.
  • Brand management: ensure brand consistency across all executions and provide guidance to colleagues to ensure assets and messaging align with the brand.
  • PR: support ongoing PR program. Create distribution lists and set up outreach campaigns using Meltwater.
  • Events: support event planning and delivery
QUALIFICATIONS
You will succeed in this role if you have a flexible, results-oriented attitude, and the willingness to work in a tight-knit team of two, still driving your tasks independently with the support of your line manager and Subject Matter Experts where needed. You'll be tackling numerous hands-on tasks simultaneously, thriving in an environment with occasional hectic times. Working in a dynamic scale-up, you must navigate through incomplete processes and be enthusiastic about driving development together with your manager, while also recognizing that, in a rapidly expanding company, progress may require patience.
In terms of expertise, proficiency in the following areas is essential:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably even from a Tech industry
  • Previous experience in paid advertising campaigns (Google SEM, Display, Pmax, and LinkedIn), website management, SEO, Google Analytics, and Google Ads.
  • Previous experience in working with partners in digital marketing planning
  • Some experience with CRM and email marketing systems
  • Familiarity with Adobe CC, especially Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Basic understanding of brand management
  • Excellent command of English
  • Experience in account-based marketing is beneficial
