Summer Trainee, Sustainability

The KONE Supply Chain function is responsible for a resilient, industry-leading supply chain network, which helps us meet and exceed our customers' expectations. KONE Supply Chain also drives the Safety, Quality, Environment and Sustainability work across KONE. We work in an agile manner, navigating constantly changing market needs together with our customers and partners.

We are now looking for a Summer Trainee, Sustainability to join our Global Sustainability team in Espoo, Finland. We are looking for a student to work at least 4 months between April/May and the end of August/September 2024 with a potential opportunity to extend.
Summer Trainee, Sustainability will actively assist in various sustainability projects as part of the global sustainability team. Projects include supporting in sustainability reporting, help to create and update training materials, support in investor inquiries, and help in continuous development projects. 
 

Responsibilities and the key activities:

• Support in quarterly environmental reporting, including consolidating environmental data, support in data analysis, verification and process improvement
• Assist in selected sustainability development programs
• Providing data for investor reporting and external sustainability ratings
• Drive development of sustainability communications
• Create visibility to KONE's environmental and social impact and collaborate with different units and country organizations
   

Requirements for the position:

• In the final stage of bachelor's or master's studies related to sustainability, environment, communications, technology, economics or similar
• Studies, knowledge or working experience in sustainability topics and reporting frameworks, such as GRI and CSRD are considered as an asset
• Great Microsoft Office skills
• Fluent in both written and verbal English, other languages are seen as an asset
• Positive drive as well as co-operation and networking skills
