Summer Trainee, Accounting

We are looking for a Summer Trainee, Accounting to join our General Ledger team at Vaisala's headquarters in Vantaa. During the summer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in the field of external accounting and reporting. You will also have possibility to use our new SAP S/4HANA system and contribute to ongoing development projects.

Our technologies can be found where they matter the most, from hospitals, national parks, and data centers to airports and wind farms all over the world - even on Mars!
You will be part of our General Accounting and Consolidation team consisting of experienced and enthusiastic professionals. You will have an excellent opportunity with the team to ensure the accuracy, transparency and compliance of our financial processes. In this role, you will work closely with our global Finance & Control team of over 80 professionals from different countries. You will report to the Finance Manager, General Ledger team.
WHAT WILL YOUR SUMMER LOOK LIKE?
In our team, you will:

• Assist with general accounting tasks and reporting to governmental authorities
• Participate hands-on in the first periods reporting with our new SAP S/4HANA system
• Support the team with various development projects
• Gain valuable experience in the field of accounting and modern reporting systems in an international environment
• Work at our headquarters in Vantaa with potential for remote work flexibility.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for someone with:

• Relevant work experience or studies in the field of accounting. Experience from an international working environment is an advantage.
• Fluent English and Finnish language skills are needed to be able to communicate with our international colleagues, authorities in Finland and abroad.
• Experience in SAP tools is considered an asset.
• Proactive and positive approach to work tasks
