We are seeking to recruit a professional candidate to become a member of the Legal & Compliance team to work alongside the Compliance Officer in the organisational and technical implementation of compliance requirements in the APAC region for RWE Offshore Wind.
This role requires frequent engagement with directors and high-level executives. The qualified applicant will be required to undertake a comprehensive range of tasks in supporting the business and ensuring measures are in place to align with and adhere to the RWE Group Compliance Management System.
Your future plans:
- Responsible for the APAC Region, where you will ensure that local (regulatory) requirements are met
- Development of robust compliance management in the APAC region
- Implementation of Group Compliance Department directives/policies/procedures
- Design and roll-out compliance-relevant procedures
- Coordinate awareness, training and communication campaigns
- Contact person for all compliance-related questions in APAC
- Key role in national/international Offshore-related projects including M&A
- Onboarding counterparties
- Establishing excellent alignment and communication across internal business teams, different external stakeholders including Legal, Regulatory, Risk and Compliance staff
- Overseeing controls definition, documentation, assessment of its effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree at least, ideally in law, business administration or a similar study
- At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Fundamental knowledge of APAC compliance-related law and regulations is required
- Demonstrated past experience with compliance specific responsibilities (controls, policies, programs) of the renewables, oil & gas or related industries, offshore wind industry experience would be desired
- Advanced written and oral communication skills in English; other local languages are preferred
- Experience with performance and operational metrics
- Experience with reporting and tracking deadlines
