OsoiteWe are looking for a Senior Azure (DevOps) Specialist to join our Cloud Technologies team. You can work from Helsinki or Oulu as well as remotely according to our hybrid working practices.
Our job in Cloud Technologies is to offer secure and reliable technologies that also promote the adoption of DevOps practices. Essential elements being well architected cloud infrastructure and high level of automation. As Senior Azure (Devops) Specialist in a new Cloud DevOps Pipeline team you’ll be one of the key elements of building DevOps capabilities in a Cloud environment at an Enterprise level.
To be successful in the role, one should be hands-on as well as hands-off. Coding and building scalable and modern solutions for the development community is the hands-on part, doing technical coaching and taking the solutions into use together with the teams is the hands-off part. In addition, you get to work genuinely as an expert in your field, spreading knowledge via concrete examples such as demos and building up great developer experience within the development community.
On a practical level, you’ll be:
• Automating development processes, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and enabling these practices by coaching development teams.
• Building infrastructure and service operation automation to enable transparent change management and to secure disaster recovery capabilities by today’s standards.
• Coaching technical key stakeholders into capabilities built on top of Azure platform.
However, as you’ll be working as a part of a team which is E2E responsible over the Azure software delivery capabilities at OP, the job offers opportunities to fine tune your role according to your growing skillset.
What we hope from you
We don’t expect you to master everything since day one but hope you to have experience and already gained knowledge at least some (or several) of the areas below:
• Hands-on experience from development and operations at enterprise level environments.
• In-depth Azure knowledge and experience on cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with related quality assurance understanding.
• Familiarity with GitHub and GitHub Actions or from similar tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Clear vision for the development and maintenance of internal products that support our developer community.
• Experience in programming languages such as Typescript or Java, as well as familiarity in scripting languages.
• Experience in DevOps tooling, CI/CD automation, monitoring, test automation methods, security testing tools.
• Deep knowledge of Agile software development and software product creation in iterative manner via small increments.
