Senior Cyber Security Specialist/Advisor

We are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Specialist/Advisor to join our R&D organization at Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa (flexible hybrid).

You will be part of our virtual team for information and physical security, consisting of 7 members from different parts of the organization. Your closest colleague will be the Head of Security, Products and Technologies Harri Susi , to whom you will also report. You will also work together with colleagues around our product and R&D organization.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
We are happy to tailor the role according to your experience and wishes! We have thought that you would, together with the colleagues,

• support R&D teams to take practices of IEC 62443 security standard in use
• ensure that Vaisala is compliant with the European Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)
• run security testing tools hands-on and analyze scan results,
• analyze software vulnerabilities,
• participate in threat modeling sessions and help teams to mitigate identified threats,
• help teams to build automated security tests in their development pipelines, and
• you can be either breaker or builder, or both! 😎

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
In addition to eagerness to learn new things and develop your skills, we value the following:

• Security testing experience
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment methods, including container scans, network scans, and remediation methods
• Python and C/C++ skills and CI/CD tooling experience
• Understanding of secure software development lifecycle principles
• Experience of any PKI solutions, e.g., TLS
• Interest in learning and developing in areas of security standards such as IEC 62443
• Cloud and IoT security understanding
