We are seeking an experienced Manager, Finance & Strategy to support how we manage and drive our personnel and contractors expenditures across the company. Managing our cost base and making sure we gain efficiency, and invest into the right areas is key to enabling further success also going forward.
Role background
This position is more than just overseeing numbers; it's about strategically managing and driving our investment in people. Your role is key to ensuring that we not only meet our financial objectives but also make informed decisions that foster sustainable growth and efficiency across the company.
In this role, you will be at the heart of balancing cost management with strategic resource allocation. By maintaining a comprehensive analysis and forecast of our headcount, salaries, and associated costs, you will provide the insights necessary for effective decision-making. Your work will directly impact our ability to stay agile and competitive in a rapidly evolving tech landscape. Your analytical acumen and strategic mindset will guide our leadership in making decisions that align with our financial goals while supporting the vital initiatives that drive our company forward.
Your responsibilities extend beyond traditional financial management. As a manager in our Finance & Strategy team, you will work closely with senior leaders across various departments. This role is not just about managing numbers; it's about shaping the future of our workforce and, by extension, our company's success. By analyzing, forecasting, and reporting on personnel expenses, you will help steer our business in the right direction, uncovering opportunities for improvement and efficiency in a landscape that's constantly changing.
You will report directly to our Senior Director, Wolt Finance & Strategy.

What you'll be doing
- Strategic Analysis & Reporting: Take ownership of analyzing, forecasting and reporting on headcount and personnel expenses. Collaborate with senior management to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities across different dimensions like geography, function, process, and business line. Utilize high-quality data to drive decisions and set targets.
- Budget Management: Play a crucial role in annual and quarterly budgeting, particularly in setting payroll and outsourcing resource budgets. Ensure alignment with company initiatives and operational efficiency.
- Collaboration & Influence: Work closely with senior leadership and our Finance & Strategy teams. You will be at the nexus of shaping how we deploy our resources.
- Innovation & Development: Participate in developing the overall architecture of Wolt personnel expense forecasting and management together with our People, IT, Accounting and Payroll teams.
- Data Integration and Optimization: Work alongside the finance and analytics teams to enhance data collection and analysis methods. Ensure the integration of new data sources and the refinement of existing ones to improve overall financial analysis and decision-making.
- Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate insights and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and understanding of personnel cost trends, forecasts, and variances. Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the tech industry
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Looker, Power BI)
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, especially in people and payroll related topics
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to influence senior leaders, working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
