In this role you will be responsible to lead the definition and continuous refinement of ABB's (Marine & Ports Propulsion) strategy in collaboration with the ABB's leadership team. You will act as a sparring partner for senior leadership on strategic topics. Also, lead Business Development projects and strategic planning.
This position reports to SVP Global Business Line Manager, Marine Propulsion & Propulsion Service and functionally to the Head of Strategy and Business Development for Marine & Ports Division.
This position is preferably located in Finland, Helsinki
Your responsibilities

• Define and implement business (including sustainability) strategy (long term plan and annual plan), proactively challenging the status quo and offering alternative scenarios
• Identify new business opportunities through market research and analysis
• Identify inorganic growth opportunities and support the active management of business portfolio, lead possible inorganic projects when identified
• Lead the development of partnerships and collaborations to enhance Marine & Ports Propulsion & Propulsion Service market position
• Propose and lead strategic development projects for the Business Line and Division
• Ensure that competitive and market landscapes are understood by the relevant stakeholders
• Ensure proper communication of the Strategy and its systematic execution
• Analyze financial data and performance metrics to make strategic decisions
• Support and foster cross-functional collaboration, working with business and corporate colleagues
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market
• Work closely with the Propulsion Line managers (market analysis, portfolio development, strategy)

Your background

• Preferably master's degree in re field of studies
• Preferably experience from the marine environment / market
• Proven experience in advising and leading different stakeholders
• Experience of business management or consulting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to make strategic recommendations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and negotiate effectively
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams towards common goals
• Experience in preparing presentations, reports and Business case presentations
