(Senior) Data Engineer - Content Experiences

Content Experiences is a growing multi-disciplinary group of 100+ data scientists, engineers, business developers, product designers, and product managers in Helsinki and Berlin working to inspire each individual customer with meaningful fashion moments beyond transactions in a very personalized way. To further our data offering to our internal users in our content platform team, we are looking for a passionate (Senior) Data Engineer striving on the ideas of a data mesh and building high quality data products.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• Design, develop, roll out and maintain (curated) data products.
• Work with Product and Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, as well as Product teams serving stakeholders across Zalando.
• Act like an owner and execute on the whole Data Engineering workflow.
• Ensure the quality of our data products - and monitor them accordingly.
  

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU

• Own a Bachelor or Master degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Are proficient with data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
• Have a few years of hands on experience in designing, implementing and deploying software in a production environment using SQL and Python.
• Can demonstrate an understanding of distributed systems, software architecture & agile development.
• Have Production experience with Big Data frameworks such as Spark, Flink, Airflow, Kafka or ElasticSearch, as well as developing solutions on AWS or other cloud providers.
