Join us as a Data Engineer in Helsinki or Lisbon. You will be part of the Data Products team which is focused on developing a data platform and related Data Products that enable seamless data integration across RELEX’s suite of applications.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Data Engineer in our Data Product Development team, you will implement and maintain high-quality data pipelines. You will contribute significantly to the creation of Data Products that are efficient, scalable, and user-friendly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines in Snowflake and file storage (Azure Blob Storage) using tools like Dagster, Python and DBT
- Implement monitoring, metrics and alerts for data pipelines
- Engage with data product managers, architects, and developers to understand data requirements and provide technical guidance
- Improve speed and efficiency of data pipelines
We are looking for:
- Demonstrated experience in software engineering, especially with relational/analytical databases and data processing libraries
- Experience with improving performance of data pipelines
- Familiarity with writing unit and/or integration tests
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerisation
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative team player
- Availability to engage in occasional activities at our Helsinki office, such as our multi-day “tech days” and other team events.
- Fluent English communication skills
