As a step in this development, we are now recruiting a Production Manager to Rødsand2 Offshore Wind Farm
The Rødsand2 Production Manager develops and delivers, on behalf of the General Manager, the effective planning and execution of all tasks required for the day-to-day operation of Rødsand2 Offshore Wind Farm. The Production Manager accountable for the resources and operational control to ensure the integrity and performance of the asset, in a safe, efficient, and sustainable manner, maximizing the commercial benefit within legal requirements to the Joint Venture Partners and wider RWE Offshore business.
Role Description;
- Responsible for management and overseeing the site production team consisting of 14+ personnel including the development, recruitment and training of competent personnel, ensuring site production resource needs are met all year-round
- Ensuring the required employee qualification as well as personnel development
- Work with the General Manager to ensure safe location and systems of work for employees as well as development and maintenance of key site operational procedures and processes
- Maximise availability by ensuring the best possible execution of maintenance and repair activities with optimal use of resources
- Responsible that all processes for the complete documentation of all performed work in SAP PM are implemented
- Setting of short, medium and long term operational targets and responsible for target achievement in line with overall operational targets
- Responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of the operations strategy of Rødsand2
- Responsible for the continuous optimization of all operational processes and procedures
- Ensuring a smooth interaction of the different shifts as well as continuous optimization of shift handovers
- Accountable for ensuring HSE Safety Rules, guidelines and all work safety regulations and processes are met to ensure smooth and safe offshore operations.
- Planning and delivering operation and maintenance of the turbines
- Application of RWE leadership values to create an open, constructive and consistent working atmosphere within the Production team
- Close cooperation within Production team and to other teams at Rødsand2 and RWE
Role Requirements
- A technical or business-focused degree or equivalent
- At least 5 year of experience in relevant areas of the industry, An understanding of Wind Farm and / or power station operations and experience in formally delivering services to customers under contractual relationships
- High interpersonal and team management skills
- Ability to lead teams
- Enabling working relationships with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders
- Enhanced communication skills and the ability to evaluate performance, develop people, and motivate people and a team
- The confidence to challenge established practices, suggesting solutions to problems
- Planning and organising skills to include effective prioritising, resource management, and a long-term strategic focus
- Knowledge of current legal requirements, policies and procedures that affect the management of Offshore Wind Farms
- An extensive understanding of health, security safety, and environmental (HSSE) legislation and standards
- Very good written and spoken English
