Introduction 

 

We are now looking for a new team member to join our Services Business Development team to work as the Head of Business Developmentfor the nominated Business Line. In this role you will have a great opportunity to discover your full potential and to take a new career step at Metso. Our new Business Development team enables strong support and coordination of the global Business Development initiatives as well M&A life cycle. In this position you will be driving the M&A pipeline development and deal management, while the projects you will be involved with will be focused on growing revenues and profitability with a focus in Beneficiation, Dewatering and Hydrometallurgy (BDH) business line. You will be a member of the BDH business line management team.

 

You will join a team of Business Development and sustainability experts dedicated to bringing our strategy to life and making a major contribution to business growth and value creation. You will report to VP, Business Development and Sustainability, in matrix to SVP, Beneficiation & Dewatering.

 

This position is preferably located in Espoo, Finland, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

 

What you'll do 

 

As Head of Business Development for BDH business line your main tasks and responsibilities are:

 

  • Planning the M&A strategy and taking the case ownership for the nominated business line
  • Managing Key partners and defining cooperation models
  • Taking an active role in strategy planning and deployment
  • Leading or supporting Business Development projects linked to business growth or operational efficiency.
  • Developing the Sales and Sales Interface
  • Developing the Tools and Processes
  • Developming the Performance-based LCS agreements

 

The final job description, tasks and responsibilities can be defined based on the candidate's seniority. Thus, the role can also be considered to be VP level.

 

Who you are 

 

To be successful in this position you should already have solid experience in M&A and Business Development and a relevant degree. We appreciate also previous experience in business administration, management consulting or strategic planning. You have analytical mindset as well as strong project management and leadership skills. You know how to run a project, but you are also ready for the research and hands-on work. You have strong verbal and written communication skills. You know how to communicate with different people and how to build a wide network. You can work independently as well as part of a team. Your approach is proactive and independent, and you want to continuously learn and understand the organization's structure and operating model.
