Would you like to play a significant cross-functional role across several segments and business areas, in defining Financial Crime Risk Reporting data for the Bank, automating data and Financial Crime reporting through data sourcing, data modelling and data analysis? We are now looking for several Business Analysts to perform such tasks.

About this opportunity
In Group Financial Crime Prevention unit we work with securing insightful, impactful best practices to secure that we are able to manage, monitor and mitigate financial crime risks in Nordea.
Welcome to the Financial Crime Risk Data Development team. We add value by playing a significant cross-functional role across several segments and business areas in providing timely and insightful reporting & operational support, while enhancing Nordea's Control Environment and reducing its Inherent Risk as a part of Financial Crime Strategy.
What you'll be doing:
  • Contribute to Nordea Group-wide Financial Crime Reporting strategy to enable timely and insightful Financial Crime reporting & risk assessment for Nordea Group
  • Support regulatory, management information and maturity framework reporting across all Governance bodies split by Business Area / Business Unit and Jurisdiction
  • Drive data automations of all flavours: reporting, sourcing, data quality monitoring, trend analysis and etc.
  • Support product management for our Agile development team
  • Support stakeholders by providing ad hoc data analysis in regard to different areas of Financial Crime

The role is based in Sweden, Finland, Estonia or Poland.

  • Have great communication and technical skills
  • Drive independently the design, development and implementation of analytical solutions within Financial Crime

Your experience and background:
  • Solid experience in handling big data
  • Good programming skills in SQL, Python, SAS, R, or similar
  • Experience in analysing complex data
  • You must be able to identify data patterns, generate hypotheses and test those analytically
  • Experience within big data analysis through Snowflake or Hadoop will be considered as a great advantage
  • Demonstrable understanding of data management framework (governance, ownership, data definition, lineage, profiling, root cause analysis and remediation)
  • Fluent English is a must
  • Experience in and visualisation tools (Qlik Sense, Power BI) is a plus
