Nice to meet you! I'm Marina, Talent Acquisition Specialist. Together with Jussi, Software Development Manager we're strengthening our Engineering team.
It means we need your help and can't wait to welcome the new Scrum Master, involved in developing our AI product.

What success looks like in this role in the first 6 months

• Maximizing your team's productivity so that they can focus on doing their best work.
• Continuous improving our development processes with the support of two Scrum Masters within the Engineering department.
• Having learnt a lot about our business environment, development processes, and technologies.
• Actively contributing to the code base of our AI product.

What you can expect as a Scrum Master

• Scrum responsibility: to become an integral part of the Scrum team and act as a Scrum Master.
• AI product development responsibility: No deep understanding of AI and its algorithms is required. Instead, you need to develop new product features as a member of the Scrum team.

This is where the match happens
Must-haves

• Solid experience in Agile methodologies, e.g. Scrum or Kanban.
• Several years of experience working in an agile software development team; as a team member or preferably as a Scrum Master. Ideally in SaaS/PaaS product development environments.
• Good facilitation and communication skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of software development processes and life cycles.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in programming business critical software.
• Strong programming skills with PHP and/or Python.
• Adaptability and eagerness to thrive in a fast-paced, expanding company.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in using general availability AI tools and libraries like (huggingface transformers, (faster-)whisper, faiss, fastapi) and serving ML model.
• Good understanding of SQL database design.
• Experience with OpenSearch / ElasticSearch.
• Experience with UI technologies such as Javascript, React and Redux.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.

Practicalities

• Start date: Position available immediately, start date can be agreed.
• Work model: Hybrid (a centrally located office in Kallio plus remote).
• Working hours: Full-time.
• Employment period: Permanent.
