We are looking for a Business Unit Sales Manager to join our team. The majority of our team is located in our headquarters in Salo, Finland, but the final location for this position might be either in Finland or in Germany, or possibly remote working. The aim is to fill this position with the best possible candidate therefore there is flexibility in regards of the location.

As a Business Unit Sales Manager, you will be an essential contributor to LEDiL's business success and responsible for product sales primarily in the EMEA and European market. You get to work in an inspiring international work environment alongside world class optical and lighting professionals. At headquarters you will collaborate closely with business development, product management, R&D and operations colleagues.

Main responsibilities are:

  • Managing business in your region delivering sales targets according to business plan and strategy
  • Develop and support sales strategies following local market and competition to acquire new opportunities, sales and customers
  • Identify and capture major project and product opportunities and ensure effective support and handling in within the LEDiL organization
  • Support and communicate with agents on a daily basis, assisting in pricing, quotations and negotiations to close deals successfully
  • Manage, support and develop distribution. Manage combination of distribution and direct sales, with a strong focus on ensuring the best fit
  • Managing key accounts in the region
  • Coach and educate agents, distributors and customers on products, applications, technologies and sales processes
  • Ensure effective usage of CRM and active follow up of sales funnel from opportunity to win
  • Co-operation with product management, marketing, local agents and distributors ensuring successful product launches and campaings

What do we expect from you:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably in business administration or engineering/technology or equivalent
  • Experienced in selling lighting components or luminaires
  • Experienced in managing direct and distributed technical sales
  • Strong communication skills to all levels within customer’s organization
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong computer skills including high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and CRM
  • Willingness and ability to travel to meet with customers
  • Ambitious and self-driven personality with strong initiative, good co-operation and communication skills
