We are looking for a Materials Project Manager to join Axopar's growing community
This position is new and first of its kind at Axopar, which offers an exciting opportunity to build something new! A Materials Project Manager is responsible for leading the supplier selection process in R&D projects, collaborating closely with sourcing and engineering teams. Additionally, Materials Project Manager will also prepare and execute supplier audit plans in collaboration with project and quality teams.
In cooperation with Product Business Management, Materials Project Manager defines price targets for materials and products, leveraging a "should costing" methodology to hit the rights targets. In this role you will create and oversee Materials Project plans for R&D projects, serving as a core team member from project initiation through ramp-up and final production, overseeing both internal factories and external partners.
Overall, as Materials Project Manager you will play a pivotal role in the seamless integration of materials management within the R&D project lifecycle. You strategize and plan supplier capacity to align with desired volumes for ramp-up and volume phases, ensuring successful new product launches from a materials management perspective.
Position is full-time and permanent, with the opportunity to work in a hybrid model, working from our Helsinki office.
What we expect from you?
Ideally, you'll come from a background in engineering or commerce, bringing with you a deep understanding of both the technical and commercial aspects of the role. We hope you have experience from strategizing and executing supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting processes.
In this position, leadership and management skills are paramount as you'll be leading multifunctional teams and collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organization. Your expertise in project planning, material management, sourcing, and contracting will be pivotal as you drive the success of our R&D projects.
