We are now searching new finance professional to join our Group Finance team in our head office in Nokia, Finland.

As a Financial Controller, Tax you will play a key role in financial reporting and controlling of Nokian Tyres Group. You will be part of Group’s global finance team. 

We expect you to have previous accounting experience and work experience in VAT, ESL and Intrastat reporting, in an international company. You have open-minded approach, self-driven working style as well as ability and motivation to drive continuous improvement. 

Key responsibilities:

• Overall coordination of the Indirect tax (VAT, ESL, Intrastat) process
• Participate in monthly/quarterly/yearly VAT filing and ESL reporting for different European countries
• Key contact point for external VAT service provider
• Ensure the correctness of figures by controlling and analyzing the transactions and account information 
• Develop and harmonize global VAT process, policies, reporting and quality of operations and transactions 
• Participate in development and automation activities in accounting and finance
• Provide VAT-instructions for end-users
• Monitor regulatory changes in relation to tax reporting

What we expect from you:

• Previous experience in VAT, ESL and Intrastat reporting preferably from an international company and business environment
• Appropriate education in accounting / finance
• Work experience in similar field of responsibility area
• Knowledge in accounting, taxation and reporting processes
• Ability to match business requirements to technology solutions and adopt those solutions to our organization
• Advanced Excel skills and experience from creating and developing new reporting tools
• Open-minded, service driven and proactive mindset to improve and harmonize processes
• Excellent team-working and communication skills in English and preferably in Finnish, other languages are considered an advantage  
• Ability to work under pressure and responsibility
• Compliance with policies, processes and procedures is obvious to you
