As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will play a central role at RWE Generation SE in implementing our "Growing Green" mission. We are planning to be climate-neutral by 2040 and are looking for committed employees who will drive forward the digitalization required for this at RWE. - Work in a DevOps squad on complex Power BI solutions including the creation of visuals and apps as well as the setup of data pipelines between Microsoft Aure Serivces and Power BI
- Support various processes related to MS Power BI (Demand, Change, Development, Release and Deployment Processes, Incident and Problem Processes)
- Administration of general Power BI settings
- Support, train and coach power users via RWE Generation SE's Power BI Center of Excellence
- Maintain the Power BI Community within RWE and share best practices, deliver documentation, updates and materials about Power BI to a wide audience
- Develop processes and tools to continuously monitor information model performance and data accuracy and validity
Your powerful skills
- A successfully completed university degree in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, or a comparable qualification
- Relevant professional experience as a Power BI expert
- Good theoretical understanding and practical experience in Power Query M, DAX, SQL and the Vertipaq engine
- First experience in working in agile setups (preferably DevOps)
- Great self-organization and communication skills
Advantageous, not a must
- Experience with Azure & Big Data Technologies (Synapse, Data Factory, Stream Analytics, Spark and Databricks)
- Experience in setting up a community around Power BI including coaching, providing training and service development
- Fluent in German or Dutch
