In Valmet's Pulp & Energy business line we serve a wide variety of customers around the world with for example complete pulp mills, heat and power generation solutions and environmental protection systems. We are now looking for a Site Quality Manager, to work on capital and rebuild projects, ensuring quality during our site installation. This person can be located in any of P&E main locations in Europe. Our Global Quality Assurance team ensures that our project delivery meets the quality requirements to satisfy the customer, authorities, and our own high standards.
As Site Quality Manager, your main tasks include:
With your quality expertise you have a real possibility to influence project success and financial end result. You will have a lot of cooperation across the organization globally, as well as contacts with customers, suppliers, and authorities in different countries.
Our expectations
We expect you to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a suitable field. You have several years of experience in engineering, manufacturing and installation of machinery and pressure equipment. You have also experience in quality assurance in manufacturing or project business, and knowledge of Machinery and Pressure Equipment Directives. Strong NDT (non-destructive testing) and welding knowledge are very essential to this position.
Your personal characteristics include positivity, good communication skills, initiative, and flexibility. You can co-operate in multi-cultural environment and are fluent in English, both written and spoken. You should also be able to travel internationally, and it is an essential part of your work.

- Ensure Site Quality practice implementation P&E wide
- Further develop Site Quality practices at our installation site word wide
- Support project QAE in communicating the quality related requirements to site assembly, and also to customer.
- Follow-up Site Quality performance in ongoing projects and ensure unified way of working with tools
- Proactively detecting and mitigating possible problems or additional requirements during site installation
- Act as task group when urgent needs at site
- Ensuring Site Quality and HSE supervisors' capability and competence
- Managing and developing the site HSEQ partner pool
- Supporting in handling nonconformities for example by asking for specialist statements, coming up with solutions and getting approvals when needed
- Performing Site Quality audits during installation and during new supplier approval process
- Train site supervisors in quality practices
