Senior Mechanical Engineer
We are strengthening our high-power converter development team as we are creating a new generation of game-changing low voltage megawatt-class frequency converters. Our team is mainly located in Finland and Norway where our factories also are located. Our typical drive product is DC-distribution with batteries for marine industry, we flavor the products with our game-changing protection concept. Our current product generation is in use on 150+ vessels with more than 4 GW installed power in total. Read more about what you would be working with here!
We are looking for an experienced, technology-driven, and problem-solving person to join our team in Vaasa. Your main task will be developing our product platform solution, but the scope of the task can be modified according to your level of expertise and knowledge. Experience in switchgear development and mechanics related to power electronics is especially highly valued.
Your responsibilities
Mechanical design of our drive products
Dimensioning, calculating, designing and implementing solutions
Participation in the verification of our products
Participation in our development and delivery projects
Co-operation with relevant stakeholders
What we expect from you
MSc in relevant engineering area
5+ years work experience in similar tasks
Basic knowledge of power electronics
Good teamwork and communication skills in written and spoken English
