In the VA Electric Vehicle Systems we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.
Here's where you'll make an impact
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Battery Mechanics Electro Mechanics Team. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will use your profound knowledge and experience of Mechanical Engineering in li-ion batteries to manage and develop batteries for automotive and industrial applications. You will manage the mechanical solutions and results in projects for designated area. You will be directly in contact with customers, suppliers and other organizations.

You will be part of our global team located in Germany and Finland. You can choose
one of our engineering offices at München, Bad Friedrichshall, Weihenbronn, Uusikaupunki, Turku or Salo for your main location.

We expect you to have
- Suitable degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Good Catia V5 know how
- Know how about different mechanical and packaging concepts for LV/HV batteries
- Experienced of engineering batteries electromechanical system design and structure in a field of concept design of electromechanical architecture, mechanical properties and assembly friendly
- Knowledge of LV/HV-Batteries electrical component mechanical integration, electrical interfaces, electrical insulation, creepage distance, etc.
- Process orientated and managing your tasks regarding quality, timing, tasks, risk management and requirements
- As a nature you are Interaction with cross functional teams and domains
- Very good communication skills with customer, supplier and internal
- Good skills of leading external and internal resources
- Fluent in English, and German is highly appreciated
