About this opportunity
Welcome to the Automation Engineering team, a part of Infrastructure Engineering. We add value by enabling Automation capabilities by providing the infrastructure and services that are needed.
What you’ll be doing:
- Identifying automation opportunities within the bank and analysing requirements. Key priorities lies with infrastructure automation
- Understand the Nordea Automation architecture framework in depth
- Creating design documents with a focus on modular design principles
- Active communication with our Nordea internal stakeholders and supporting them in their automation journey
- As a system architect, you together with a team of architects ensure that the platform is compliant with Nordea standards, that the defined governance model is followed, and decide future changes to the platform.
- As a system architect you will also affect the future roadmap and strategy of the Automation Engineering team.
The role is based in Gdańsk; Gdynia; Helsinki; Warszawa; Łódź.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
- Solid experience of workflow orchestration, configuration management and building automation services. Preferably experienced in VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator and Ansible Automation Platform (Ansible Tower or AWX).
- Strong knowledge of Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), container platforms (Kubernetes), Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and ML Ops
- Strong knowledge of automating infrastructure, workflow orchestration, and ultimately provide end to end automation as a service.
- Experience in designing and configuring integrations between applications, systems, and platforms through e.g APIs, SSH, and WinRM.
- Strong programming background to understand scripting logic and modular development which supports your work with the development team.
- Understand current trends related to DevOps best practices such as monitoring, logging, automation etc.
- Preferable experience from the financial industry or other restricted industries
