About this opportunity
Welcome to Operations Business Risk Management unit. We add value by serving Operations with the purpose of supporting each area to remain in control of compliance and operational risks. We work closely with Operations senior management. We aim to maintain a strong cooperation with Risk Managers across all Functions, Divisions, toward Group Risk, Group Compliance and Group Internal Audit, as well as with Nordea’s Business Areas.


What you’ll be doing:

As the (Senior or Chief) Business Risk Manager, you will be supporting Daily Banking Services´ non-financial risk management by driving, facilitating and executing various risk management frameworks, processes, and projects.  

 

Depending on your background, skills, and interests, you would be working with the following areas:

  • Utilizing your experience in project and change management to drive, facilitate and implement risk processes within Daily Banking Services in close collaboration with the stakeholders from all lines of defence, simultaneously assessing the impacts on our business and customers.
  • Gathering information, analysing it, facilitating meetings, and providing advice and insights to your stakeholders to support effective decision making.
  • Provide risk oversight to support in daily risk management 
  • Manage, control and report on non-financial risk to ensure adequate and proactive risk management
  • Coordinate risk related processes and implementation of e.g. new regulation or mitigating actions
  • Advice, train and support managers and employees in non-financial Business Risk matters to increase risk awareness 
  • Act as a trusted advisor on risk management for Daily Banking Services
  • Support the Daily Banking Services and Operations in enhancing the risk and compliance culture
  • Develop risk management related reporting 
  • Providing input for management reporting on topics assigned to you, summarising highlights for senior management and presenting topics at various meetings

 

You will join a team of experienced and knowledgeable members. We aim at supporting each other, and since this is a team covering a wide variety of topics in all Nordea, it is important that you are used to working also independently and that you are proactive and self-driven.
 

The role is based in Helsinki; Stockholm; Tallinn; Warszawa; Łódź.

Your experience and background: 

  • Have robust knowledge and experience within execution of any/various Nordea risk & compliance processes and frameworks
  • Have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex messages and required actions in a clear, simple, and concise manner
  • Have excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
  • Have high proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in PowerPoint and Excel
