Bursting bubbles, breaking waves, and splashing waterfalls release soluble and insoluble particles into the atmosphere. In this project, we are conducting field experiments to characterize the particle flux produced by a waterfall and test if these particles have the potential to affect the formation of ice clouds. The work involves supporting a team of scientists in the field in measuring and collecting aerosol particles and helping to run laboratory experiments to analyze the collected samples. Depending on your skills and preferences, your contribution to the project could include setting up and running the Field measurements, performing laboratory experiments, analyzing the data. As an outcome, you may be part of a scientific publication. Additionally, this work could constitute the experimental part of a master thesis.
