Whatyouwill do 

-      Work closely with our R&D experts and UPM Businesses' technical teams in various research, innovation and development, laboratory and piloting related tasksmainly in the field of biofuels 

-      Participate in research and new product and technology development projects 

-      Develop new methods and utilizing existing analytics for the evaluation of experiments or optimizing plant operations 

-      Make work plans and instructions for the work between the research, laboratories and piloting operations 

-      Interpret laboratory results, make conclusions and recommendations and report the results to internal co-operation partners and colleagues 

Whoyouare 

-      You havea Master's degree in chemistry preferably with a doctorate 

-      You have good knowledge in organic, analytical or applied chemistry  

-      You have minimum of three years' professional experience in working as researcher  

-      You are proactive, customer oriented, socially and organizationally skilled and interested in new technology and development in both laboratory and piloting scale 

-      You are able to work in a matrix organization 

-      You have the capability to build and utilize global professional network 

-      You are determined and flexible and able to make decisions independently 

-      You are fluent in English, Finnish is seen as an asset
