What you'll do
- Take project lead responsibilities in R&D projects related to process and technology development for water treatment both in existing and new processes and businesses
- Take active responsibility of UPM's involvement in water related research consortia
- Support UPM businesses in water technology questions. You will work closely with other R&D and business teams and experts
- Proactively report deliverables, communicate substance matters and develop your competence area
Who you are
- You have a master's degree in science, e.g., environmental technology, chemical or process engineering, or other equivalent training/experience
- You have more than 5 years of working experience in forest or chemical industry, consultancy, technology supplier or research institute and proven experience in project management
- You have knowledge and experience in water treatment technologies. You understand industrial process balances and the usability of process modelling. Knowledge of organic chemistry is seen as an advantage
- You have good cooperation skills, and you feel comfortable working in various environments, in team and independently
- You have a positive and hands-on attitude, eagerness to learn new things and to take initiative and responsibility
- You have good verbal and written communication skills in English, Finnish language proficiency is considered as an advantage
