Wärtsilä Fuel Gas Supply Systems (FGSS) is a product line in Wärtsilä Marine Power developing, selling, sourcing, managing and delivering complete systems for the storage and handling of alternative fuels on board marine vessels. The fuels covered by FGSS include LNG, methanol, ammonia and hydrogen. We are a young and dynamic team in Wärtsilä that have a key role in the decarbonisation of the marine industry. We are now looking for a motivated and result-driven Quality Engineer to strengthen our team. The preferred location for this position is in Vaasa, Finland. We offer a possibility to hybrid remote work.
 


Your role and responsibilities: 
 
As a Quality Engineer, you will work closely with the Quality Manager, creating and maintaining quality related documentation, supporting in solving nonconformities and participate in supplier testing and development. To be successful in this role, you need to have a problem-solving mindset, ability to work both as a part of a team as well as independently and willingness to travel.

 

 

Requirements for the position: 

 

  • M.Sc or B.Sc in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Good command of Swedish and Finnish
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools
  • Basic knowledge in CAD software, both 2D and 3D

 
Additional skills that will make you stand out in this position: 
 

  • Basic knowledge of the marine industry
  • Familiar with alternative fuels, such as LNG, Methanol and Ammonia
  • Familiar with common standards like ASME, EN and PED
