In the VA Electric Vehicle Systems we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.
Here's where you'll make an impact
In the role of Development Test Engineer, you will have a key position in research and Development Testing of electric vehicle batteries and related systems such as battery management systems, thermal management systems, electric- and electronic components and mechanics systems depending on your area of expertise. You'll apply your knowledge and hands-on experience in various testing assignments related to technology development projects. You know your way around a prototype shop and your experience with CAD and 3D-printing will be put to good use in realizing quick testing setups. With your data-analytics skills, you will be able to efficiently process large amounts of measurement data and create high quality test reports. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to present your innovative ideas on testing methodology and data usage. You will be part of the Technology Development team and supporting internal development in our R&D facilities in Uusikaupunki.

Your job include

- Execution of Development Testing tasks
- Derivation of testing plans
- Design and implementation of testing setups
- Test execution
- Analysis of testing data and reporting of testing results
- Supporting design engineers in execution of Development Testing
- Ensuring all test and procedures meet the safety and quality standards of the company
We expect you to have
- A relevant M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in engineering
- Experience in Development Testing
- Experience in electric vehicle batteries
- Knowledge in data-analytics
- Familiarity with testing tools
- Knowledge of engineering and testing procedures
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and think out of the box
- Dynamic, enthusiastic and flexible approach
- Fluent English-language skills
