The role

As a Saab employee working within the CSI-IPT, the Commercial Officer will be responsible for maintaining adherence to and supporting the Combat Systems Integration – Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT) commercial and contractual obligations.  

Further, the successful candidate will:

  • Support the Commercial Manager and other members of the Commercial team and broader CSI-IPT
  • Establish and maintain the CSI-IPT enterprise correspondence activities with the Commonwealth, Industry Partners and other agencies as required, including maintenance of the correspondence register
  • Support with CSI-IPT Tasking Statement development and approval
  • Ensure all CSI-IPT enterprise obligations outlined in either the CSI-IPT Collaboration Agreement (CCA), CSI Management System Plan (CMSP) or individual Tasking Statements are maintained
  • Support Tasking Statement CDRL tracking status and issues
  • Support the broader CSI-IPT with Commercial and contract management activities

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Previous experience in a Commercial role or similar discipline
  • Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or similar discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in a commercial role and a good working knowledge of commercial and contractual administrative processes and techniques.
  • A sound understanding of principles of contract law.
  • Experience in a commercial environment including contract preparation, negotiation, administration and management of contractual relationships.
  • Understanding of contractual requirements in engineering and/or Defence environment (desirable)

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a baseline clearance (NV1 preferable).
