As the company enters its next phase of growth, Phaver is now seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join its team of professionals.

The business is based on a mobile app and the main tech stack currently includes e.g. TypeScript, React Native, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes. With +300,000 downloads, it's one of the biggest apps in the industry at the moment.
As a Backend Developer , you'll join a development team of seven developers. Your main responsibility is to design and implement new features to the Phaver app and improve the platform while delivering robust and scalable code. You'll develop APIs, build and maintain integrations with third-party systems, and improve the existing CI pipelines. On a daily basis you'll also perform queries to the PostgreSQL database and operate migrations for new functionalities. In addition to maintaining the existing software, you'll also get to participate in longer-term vision defining and product development planning and improving the architecture.
You might be the developer we are looking for if you are a self-driven team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced startup environment and has the ability to cope with pressure and prioritize. We hope you have already gained solid experience from working with Node.js and TypeScript and you have a passion for building high-quality and scalable software. You are also used to working with big amounts of data and possess some previous experience with SQL. We also value independent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript and solid experience in building and operating robust backend systems
- Previous experience in SQL and from working on a data-intensive application
- Experience from building integrations with third-party systems
- Passion for building high-quality, scalable, maintainable and performant software
- A genuine interest towards technology and willingness to improve your skillset
- Full proficiency in English
- Previous experience of working on an application with thousands to millions of users and scaling the software
- Previous experience in production monitoring
- Experience from technologies like PostgreSQL, Kubernetes
- Enthusiasm or/and previous knowledge of cryptocurrencies and Web3 companies, platforms and networks
- Finnish language skills
