Työnkuvaus

We are seeking an experienced Vibration Specialist to join our Turbine & Generator service business unit.  

As a Vibration Specialist, you will be responsible for condition monitoring tasks, including conducting and analyzing vibration measurements of rotating equipment during turbine and generator maintenance services.  

Your expertise in vibration measurement will play a crucial role in the maintenance and upkeep of power plant components. Our primary markets include Finland, Sweden, other Nordic countries, and the Baltics. An essential part of your role will also involve providing technical support for sales and contributing to the business development of condition monitoring services. Therefore, your tasks may vary rapidly from office work to field conditions in power and industrial plants.  

 

Location of Employment: Flexible - this role can be handled on a hybrid and remote basis but have offices e.g. in Vantaa, Imatra, Jyväskylä, Vaasa and Oulu, Västerås and Göteborg.  

 

About you

  • A suitable engineering degree (BSc, MSc in Engineering, or equivalent) with a competency level of III or IV in vibration analysis according to ISO 18436-2 standards. 

  • Several years of experience in condition monitoring and maintenance of rotating equipment, with a keen interest in acquiring further knowledge about devices and facilities to continue your development. 

  • Proficiency in various condition monitoring systems and tools is required for successful performance in this role. 

  • The ability to actively and effectively collaborate with both customers and internal business lines. We value initiative, analytical skills, perseverance, flexibility, an independent approach to work, and a continuous desire to develop both personal expertise and our business as a specialist in your area. 

  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English are necessary for success in this position. A similar proficiency in the local language (Finnish or Swedish) is considered a significant advantage. 

  • Regular and sometimes short-notice international travel is part of the job, given our often international clientele, therefore we expect you to be prepared for traveling up to approximately 100-120 days a year.
