We are now looking for an experienced and motivated Systems Engineerfor Connectivity to join our growing Connectivity Mobilisation team working for a more sustainable future through interconnected assets. The preferred location for this permanent position is in Vaasa (FI), but also Helsinki (FI) is a possible location.
What will you be doing?
In this position, your work will include interacting with internal and external customers, suppliers, and our Field Services to make sure remote sites or vessels can get connected and can benefit of our digital products. You will focus on technical aspects to secure there is alignment though out all delivered jobs on: drawings, configurations and follow-up changed implemented during commissioning, as well as continuously improve our technical delivery packages.
As Systems Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Support performing Connectivity Mobilisation jobs in a time/cost efficient and quality manner
- Prepare project specific "technical job toolbox" (including: Network layout, BOM (Bill Of Material), configurations (e.g. firewall, data sources))
- Follow-up Service Work Reports and feed changes back
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- College education within electrical engineering or automation or +5 years work experience in a relevant field
- Availability to work under stress and be all time available to our customers and stakeholders
- Knowledge of networking, firewalls
- Fluent English speaking and writing
It is considered an advantage to:
- Have been working for Wartsila coordination or project management
- Have knowledge of site-activities
