Oulu is the Home of Radio. The Nokia site in Oulu has over 40 years' experience of radio research, development and manufacturing in a unique way. A product starts with an idea and coming to a real product under the same roof. Current focus for Oulu site is 5G, 5G-Advanced and 6G including 3GPP standardization, SoC development, HW, SW, validation, testing and verification.
You will join the System-on-Chip (SoC) Architecture and Specification team in Oulu, Finland. You will have a direct contribution to the new technology development. The support of the team members, the latest developments and tools will provide you the thriving and psychologically safe environment for your daily work on 5G-Advanced and 6G topics.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

QUALIFICATIONS
- You have Master's and +10 years' experience or a PhD'd degree and 5-7 years' experience in Engineering, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other relevant fields
- You have knowledge on 5G, Layer 1 Processing
- You are experienced in embedded SW development
- You have experience with Linux and real-time operating systems
- Comfortable working with low-level code (kernel, drivers)
- You are familiar with ARM processors and especially their virtual core models like QEMU or ARM Fast Models
- You have good understanding of digital signal processing and related mathematics
- You are familiar with Matlab and Simulink
We appreciate the following:
- Familiar with Atlassian tools, especially Jira
- Competence on FPGA and/or SoC
