Job Description

Danfoss Editron seeks an enthusiastic Sourcing Project Manager to spearhead procurement-related initiatives, including the identification of new suppliers for essential components and products, supplier comparisons, and active participation in supplier process assessments to enhance the quality of parts.

Job Responsibilities

As the newly appointed Sourcing Project Manager, embracing this challenge entails serving as the vital link between R&D, production, and suppliers, with a focus on facilitating production-friendly and cost-efficient design solutions. A key responsibility is establishing a connection between centralized Danfoss Category Management and the Division to ensure adherence to Category Strategies in New Product Development (NPD) sourcing and initiatives aimed at reducing product costs.

 

In this role, you'll play a crucial part in providing feedback to the R&D team by leveraging market trends to shape future portfolio possibilities. Additionally, you will take the initiative in organizing idea generation workshops, involving customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, to further optimize both design and sourcing processes.

 

Responsibilities for this position generally includes: 

 

-    Project Management and planning
-    Performing first communication with suppliers and coordinating the communication with Operational Procurement
-    New Product Development (NPD) Sourcing
-    Evaluating supplier as well as its product to give input, or to perform price negotiations
-    Supporting supplier approval process
-    Facilitating communication between R&D and suppliers for more optimal design
-    Supporting SQM in PPAP process
-    Handling of RFx and Management of NDA and LOI
-    Continuous SRM and first point of escalation in Supplier related cases
-    Supplier Cooperation and Active product cost down

Background & Skills

For success in this role, we require candidates with either an M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering, complemented by relevant experience in strategic sourcing, project management and procurement. Experience within motors, components, and drives technology is valued, along with familiarity with Automotive standards (ISO/TS 16949 Requirements). Given our global presence, proficiency in professional English, both written and spoken, is indispensable.
