We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to develop smart emergency lighting systems for buildings and cruice ships. We want our systems to be state of the art and working with us offers you an opportunity to truly show your skills and develop them further in an international environment.

What is the job about?

• You will develop software for products and complete solutions for emergency lighting systems 
• You work as a member of an experienced multi-skilled product development team 
• You are responsible for the definition, design, and implementation of software applications

What do we expect from you?

• A professional approach to embedded software development
• Proven track record in developing software on Bare Metal and Linux based embedded systems
• Experience in C, C++ and Python programming languages
• Curiosity and a hands-on attitude towards high quality products and systems development
• Experience of working in a team of embedded SW, HW and test engineering professionals
• Problem-solving skills and flexibility to work at different levels of architecture
• Good knowledge of version management practices and tools
• Independent approach to work, but you are also happy to work in a team

Skills that give you an advantage

• Experience with Embedded Linux, Yocto and QT frameworks 
• Experience with communication protocols and IoT technologies
• Experience with Windows programming, Java and database platforms
• Experience with different manufacturers’ microcontrollers and development tools
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket and TortoiseSVN
• Skills and interest in developing effective development practices and tool environments

You don’t need to have all the above skills—we will tailor the tasks to your experience.
Language skills: Fluent English, both oral and written. Knowledge of Finnish is an advantage. 
Background: An engineering degree and 5+ years of work experience are desirable, but not mandatory requirements.
