Do you have a strong knowledge and experience in scripting languages for automation with the focus on monitoring and tools administration? About the role
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and efficiency of our embedded software development processes. You will be part of a team that works on automating the CI/CD pipelines (On-Prem) for our product. You will develop and maintain tools to support our development, deployment, testing and monitoring capabilities.
KONE's biggest R&D is in Hyvinkää, Finland and the team is located there. Your primary location can be Espoo or Hyvinkää, but we offer flexible working time and extensive remote working opportunities, so much of the work can also be done remotely.
Your responsibilities include
Build scalable CI/CD infrastructure with proactive monitoring of the pipelines and the delivery platform infrastructure
Contribute hands-on to the transformation, development and establishment of DevOps engineering practices in the team
Contribute to developer experience enhancement and reducing cognitive load on developers, by building state of the art software delivery platforms with CI/CD and tooling around it
Hands-on contribution in critical aspects of delivery platform engineering through infrastructure-as-code & policy-as-code
Maintain the sanity of the build, deploy & test infrastructure as per the team and product needs
Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive tasks, streamline processes, and enhance the efficiency of the development pipeline.
Administer and optimize tools central to our development environment, including Git, Jenkins, and Artifactory and other tools.
Utilize visualization tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or InfluxDB to create dashboards for key performance indicators and system health metrics
Requirements
At least 7 years of experience in building software delivery platforms for complex projects/solutions
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Perl, and Ruby Scripts) for automation and task optimization
Experience with version control systems (Git), continuous integration tools (Jenkins), and artifact repositories (Artifactory)
Git based SCM tools with best software development practices well versed in various branching, versioning & tagging strategies
Proficiency in Linux and Windows development environments
Setting up and managing montoring tools for CI/CD infratructure such as Grafana, Prometheus, or InfluxDB for creating dashboards
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
