Your future plans 
As Senior Business Relationship Manager in our Commodity Solutions, South-Europe team you will originate commercial opportunities and develop suitable energy solutions that will help corporates to achieve their targets in energy procurement and sustainability. 

In your client facing function, your task will be to grow RWE’s client base, to develop customer specific solutions and to create commercial leads for the team. You will originate long-term as well as short-term commodity contracts, in particular around renewable energy and power purchase agreements. You will have responsibilities to assist the clients for the full deal lifecycle. In this position you will have direct influence on delivering the team’s PnL targets. Initially, your area of focus will be customers with exposures in Spain, Italy, France and Greece. 

You will be expected to:

  • Manage the deal process with international and local customers and to ensure a sustainable value contribution for RWE’s long-term activities; 
  • Maintain the existing client base;
  • Generate new leads to ensure deals inflow and business retention;
  • Manage the customer relationships; 
  • Understand customers’ needs in detail and transform them into value added opportunities for the team;
  • Be responsible for coordinating customer activities with other Business Relationship Managers;
  • Represent RWE in the wider market in bilateral client interactions, at conferences and at events; 
  • Identify and design new products to support client needs, in line with RWE’s risk polices
  • Build up and maintain a pipeline of  new commercial opportunities in collaboration with the team; 
  • Work with negotiators/originators in the transaction approval process including interaction with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. 

Your powerful skills 

  • A highly commercial mindset, excellent negotiation skills, strong business acumen and PnL responsibility
  • Min. 10 years working experience and proven track record in a commercial role in the industry
  • Experience with ESG and renewable energy is a mandatory
  • Proven customer facing commercial experience and demonstration of track record of leads
  • Deep understanding of market insights and customer needs
  • Existing client network with the demand for long-term certainty (especially for renewable energy)
  • Ability to understand, develop, document and communicate complex structures to all levels of internal and external management and ability to network and influence at appropriate levels of the RWE organization
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Business fluent English language skills  are mandatory plus at least another language among Spanish, French, Italian and Greek
  • A leader and a true team player to support RWE’s growth plans.
