OsoiteThe Security and Architecture Specialist provides expertise in Security and stewardship of Saab Grintek IT Architecture environment in supporting our IT department in delivering effective performance of separate environments and driving corporate security approved changes.
Your role
- Spearhead the creation and implementation of updated and new security architecture / systems
- Implementation of investigations and Saab security policies
- Perform a wide variety of technical and administrative duties in overall systems design, development and delivery
- Work in conjunction with IT, Engineering and business groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, Security and integration requirements
- Security network services integrity, availability and performance in accordance with business requirements
- Architecture and Platform Engineer – you will be responsible for managing monitoring and provisioning of scalable infrastructure, tools and techniques to support a fast-growing platforms and distrusted system
Security demands:
- Security issues, Virus protection, Firewalls
- Risk assessment and awareness, foreseeing potential security risks and be a resource in global security projects
- Coordinate with the Security manager in ZA regarding compliance to Saab security requirements (the business has requirements on the facilities to where the infrastructure is located).
- ICT Security risk reporting
- Participate in the specification of business requirements and implementation plans for technically advanced networking solutions
- Ensure compliance to standards, policies and procedures
- Lead security audit and compliance
Your profile
Knowledge and Skills required:
- Excellent understanding and ability to effectively use all aspects of local and wide area networks, network standards, protocols, network hardware, facilities, configuration, architecture and network security
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD)
- ITIL framework
- Virtual environment, VMware, Hyper-V, Client Virtualisation, vCenter
- Exposure to Citrix, XenApp, MS App-V, XenDesktop
- Network exposure, TCP/IP Networks, Switches, VLAN’s, Server Virtualisation
Desired skills:
- Minimum 8 years working as ICT Security Specialist
- Minimum 8 years working experience with patching and security threats
- Minimum 8 years working in a networks and routing environment
- Minimum 8 years hands on experience in Microsoft environment, Linux (Kali Linux), penetration testing

Qualification:
- BSc degree (Computer Science)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
