Quotation Engineer

We are now looking for a Quotation Engineer for our Quotation Support team in Vantaa, as a part of Global Order Management and Engineering organization.

Valmet's Flow Control business line is one of the leading providers of mission-critical flow control solutions and services for process industries. The main objectives and responsibilities of the role

As a Quotation Engineer you are responsible for preparing factory quotations and cost estimates for Valmet Flow Control sales offices and distributors globally. Your duties include technical specification for the quotes, pricing, and delivery time definition. You will also give general technical support for sales. As a Quotation Engineer you will get to develop our processes and practices together with the team. In your daily work, you work actively in close cooperation with several internal stakeholders across the organization: sales, product and business line, engineering, production, and quality. 

Expectations

To succeed as a Quotation Engineer, you should have interest in technical details. You are a quick learner with business and customer-oriented mindset. You are also genuinely interested in developing processes you work with. Your teamworking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are great, and you proactively share your ideas and best practices with the rest of the team.
 
You have a technical background (B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree), for example in mechanical engineering, process engineering, automation engineering, or industrial engineering and management. Previous knowledge of Valmet Flow control products and Sales configurator Tacton CPQ helps to succeed in the position. Experience in technical sales, customer service, engineering work or valve business is considered as a plus. Our primary working language is English, and we expect you to communicate fluently both in Finnish and in English.
