The City of Tampere Trainee Programme runs from 12 Aug to 13 Dec 2024.

You will be paid for your traineeship period. The Tampere University internship voucher would be an advantage. We work in a hybrid working model allowing flexible remote and office working hours.

International House Tampere is looking for a motivated Trainee to support implementing the Study and Stay program! The program aims to support international degree students settling in Tampere, studying and building working-life connections. As a trainee, you will work in the International House Tampere team, cooperating closely with members of the Study and Stay working group as well as Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences. If you want to help develop municipal services for residents who speak foreign languages, including international students, this trainee position could be just for you!

Depending on your skills and interests, it is also possible to expand the trainee position with other tasks related to the operation of International House Tampere. These could include, for example, assistance in talent attraction work, business services, marketing and organizing events. We require master's degree in a relevant field (graduated max two years ago), or master's degree student in the final stages (second year) and excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).

It will be beneficial if you have personal experience, or otherwise understand the challenges international students face when looking for Employment and settling in Tampere. You will have good organisational skills, and can also work independently.

Salary is 1,773.40-1,993.99 €/month depending on the skills of the selected trainee and the stage of the studies.
