Mechanical Engineers (Storage Tank Designers)

We are seeking skilled Storage tank Designers to join our team for a full-time permanent contract on our projects located in Finland.
As a Storage tank Designer you will play an important role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment such as Storage tanks, process vessels, Auxiliary tanks. Your responsibilities will include feasibility design review, technical documentation, as built drawings review, technical guidance, participation in the purchase requisitions, and performing strength calculations.
Tasks and responsibilities:

• Evaluate and review engineering designs for Storage tanks, process vessels, Auxiliary tanks to ensure they meet industry standards, codes, and project requirements.
• Collaborate with the design team to provide recommendations for design improvements and optimization.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during the processes and feasibility design phases.
• Perform strength calculations, troubleshooting and resolve possible mechanical issues to prevent downtime and production interruptions.
• Documentation and reporting of the progress.
• Perform Bid- and purchase requisitions and cost estimation.
• Continuous cooperation with different stakeholders as for customers, vendors, fabricants, and project team members while providing technical guidance and assistance.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, and possible change and maintenance activities, and any deviations from standard procedures.
• Prepare technical reports and review documentation, update As built drawings, technical specifications, data sheets and reports for the project team and if necessary for regulatory compliance processes.
• Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fields.
• 4-10 years of proven experience in similar role as a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on Storage tanks, process vessels, Auxiliary tanks from the following industries for example: Chemical Manufacturing, Petrochemical, Power Generation or Oil and Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (Pressure equipment Directive (PED), Machinery Directive (MD), EN codes.
• Proven knowledge of Storage tanks, process vessels, Auxiliary tanks.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools for design analysis and simulation e.g. VVD (PV Elite), Aspen, Autodesk, Inventor, Autocad
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
