In the Wärtsilä Energy – ES&O Lifecycle Management, we are looking for a Manager, Maintenance Management & Technical Information for a growing Energy Storage market globally. The position will report to the General Manager, ES&O Lifecycle Management and be based in Helsinki, Finland, or Herndon, USA, although other locations can be considered. 

 

Manager, Maintenance Management & Technical Information is accountable for team of Maintenance Management and Technical Information experts. The team is responsible for managing maintenance plans, equipment, and spare parts-related data for Wärtsilä’s battery energy storage fleet. Manager, Maintenance Management and Technical Information will work closely with the other ES&O teams to ensure a seamless process from project delivery into lifecycle support. 

 

Accountability:

 

  • Manage the team of Maintenance Management and Technical Information experts & act as Maintenance Management and master data expert within ES&O.
  • Ensure Maintenance Management activities from planning, execution and progress monitoring are done.
  • Ensure installation, equipment, material, and work card data are created and maintained for ES&O customers
  • Ensure documentation integrity
  • Interact with technical experts to get predictive and corrective maintenance actions into Maintenance Management tools.
  • Influence positively to customer satisfaction

 

Main responsibilities:

 

 

  • Ensure competent resources and competence development of personnel within the team, as well as coach and mentor Maintenance Management experts. Ensure high job satisfaction
  • Contribute to creating the organisation's action plans and implementing assigned actions. Ensure that the business objectives and targets are met
  • Have ownership of Maintenance Management and maintenance planning for the equipment to maintain and improve the performance of the installation. Ensure that the required documentations are created for internal and external stakeholders
  • Development of Maintenance Management function and implement ES&O Lifecycle Management action plans, processes, and guidelines in the assigned responsibility area
  • Ensure implementation of the processes and tools according to business as well as Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and contract templates for Energy Storage products and services, including installation, equipment, material number, spare parts lists, code resolution and work card data
  • Support ineffective handover from Project Management to Lifecycle Management as well as in lifecycle mobilization
  • Led the development of companies ERP system for its own area of responsibility 
  • Participate in developing tools and improving ways of working in order to support contracts and assist customers in improving their businesses
  • Support new products in life cycle solutions for Maintenance Management
  • Acquire know-how and follow up on the latest global development trends of respective operational expert area

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, economics or similar is required for this role
  • Candidates must have at least five (5) years of experience in contract or information management, preferably in the energy generation industry, but other B2B industries will be considered
  • Demonstrated success in managing, writing, reviewing and negotiating large, complex and non-standard agreements is a must
  • Solid knowledge of legal and contractual laws governing projects would be an advantage
