Head Of Product

An incredible opportunity awaits you as Head of Productat Kongsberg Maritime. In this role, you will play a critical role in our Remote and Autonomous Team defining and delivering essential products and capabilities that blend hardware and software to transform and digitalize the maritime business and beyond.

We are looking for a talented individual to bring their skills and expertise to re-imagine and deliver technologies that will change the ways vessels are operated while becoming more sustainable and safer. You have a natural ability to bring simplicity into a complex environment without losing the essence of the solution. You can motivate and positively influence people to create a sustainable change.

You have a wealth of experience in Agile SW & HW product management in an international setting, know your way around cloud and remote technologies and are seasoned in commercially managing a highly integrated product. You have demonstrable experience in making licensing and subscription business models profitable in a B2B setting.

Responsibilities

You will lead the hands-on product management on strategical and operative levels.

• Collect, create and refine product requirements that function as a basis for future business models, product as well as technology capabilities
• Work hand-in-hand with engineering and business to implement prioritized requirements into product features
• Drive productization, product life cycle profitability and quality and ensure that the products meet and exceed their business targets
• Create and maintain product roadmaps and function as a conduit to business unit level product portfolio planning
• Collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to integrate apps and services as part of the product
• Identify and evaluate potential market related opportunities and turn prioritized opportunities into product requirements
• Collaborate with different internal entities like business units, sales and support to drive cross-functional alignment on product priorities
• Benchmark competitors’ solutions, cost level and market share to provide insights for product and portfolio level decisions
• Mentor the team about productization and implement product management best practices across the organization

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product management covering software and hardware
• 5+ years in leading international teams
• Master's degree in business, technology, product management or in a similar field
• Demonstrated experience in productization
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey product concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• An ability to think and act strategically yet effortlessly moving between product details and the big picture
• Excellent negotiator, influencer and communicator with strong business and financial acumen
• Tech-savvy mindset and ability to thrive in a complex and uncertain environment
