We are now looking for a Energy Manager for our Pulp & Paper business segment.
In Pulp & Paper, our application expertise, latest technologies for data-driven process management, digital services and a complete chemistry portfolio help our customers enhance their sustainability, process efficiency, productivity and end-product quality.
In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Leading our energy management activities, which includes implementing and managing our energy management system including audits, and driving initiatives for energy efficiency and technology adoption.
  • Providing active support to the Energy Sourcing organization, contributing to the strategic aspects of energy procurement and sourcing.
  • Supporting our global manufacturing footprint (60 sites globally) and collaborating with site specialists on energy-related matters. This includes overseeing energy savings projects, mapping and prioritizing initiatives, and facilitating experience sharing across sites.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders from our sustainability, environmental health and safety, and quality departments, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives.
  • Collaborating with Energy Managers from other companies within large industrial advocacy group(s), promoting knowledge exchange and contributing to collective efforts in advancing energy management practices.
  • Assisting the Vice President of Engineering & Technology in developing feasibility studies and plant design concepts for global strategic projects, providing valuable insights and support in shaping the future direction of our organization.
What you'll bring to the team:
  • Professional or Chartered Engineer degree in Process, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the chemical/process industry with a strong background in energy management.
  • Prioritize a safety mindset and demonstrate leadership qualities in guiding teams.
  • Handle various energy sources, including electricity, natural gas, combustibles, steam, and hot water.
  • Proficient in project management, engineering, execution, and construction management.
  • Possess strong analytical skills, collaborate on energy savings mapping, and proficient in IT systems (SAP-PM/PS/BW, CAD/CAE-Tools, MS Office, MS Project).
  • Exhibit excellent communication and cooperation skills within teams and cross-functionally.
  • Embrace a strong team spirit and adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Display high motivation and energy levels, dedicated to delivering results and continuous improvement.
  • Fluent in both written and verbal English.
