Data & AI Solutions Lead plays a pivotal role within Wapice, directly contributing to the company´s vision and growth and driving excellence in technological solutions. This position hold significant influence in shaping the future direction of Wapice´s AI and Analytics capabilities.

Role and responsibilities

• Technology and competence development: You´ll be at the forefront, staying attuned to industry trends and maintaining a deep understanding of Wapice´s current competence. Active analysis of AI and Analytics trends, prioritizing development needs and fostering knowledge-sharing are key aspects. You´ll also take the lead on technology projects, both internally and in collaboration with external partners.
• Solution business: You will lead the process of responding to customer needs with compelling solution proposals and offers. As a representative of Wapice, you´ll proactively engage with customers, identify leads, negotiate deals and contribute to the entire sales process aiming at business growth.
• Monitoring segment performance is another crucial aspect of the role, requiring a keen eye on the financial profitability of the AI, Analytics & Automation segment.
• Resourcing responsibilities involve managing project resourcing, overseeing recruitment efforts and strategically assigning teams for optimal skill utilization.
• Leadership in this position involves driving strategic initiatives within the AI & Analytics domain, providing visionary leadership aligned with company goals. You´ll engage in development discussions and meetings with team leaders, while also reinforcing Wapice´s values and culture within the segment.

You would be working closely with the top management to drive innovation, foster collaboration and develop Wapice´s business even further. As a Data & AI Solutions Lead you would also be working as a Vice Head of AI, Analytics & Automation Segment.
This is a permanent, full time position and the work can be done from any of our sites in Finland (Tampere, Vaasa, Helsinki, Turku, Seinäjoki, Jyväskylä, Kuopio, Hyvinkää or Oulu), with very flexible hybrid work model.
Qualifications
The role requires a strong understanding of relevant technologies and trends, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and business development mindset with the ability to drive and implement initiatives.
The ideal candidate is sales oriented person and should possess expertise and value knowledge in some of the following domains: Big Data, Analytics and visualization, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Language models, Saas, Edge Computing, MLOps, Serverless Computing, Model-as-a-Service.
This position mandates a minimum educational qualification of a Master´s degree and fluency in English and Finnish languages.
