We are seeking a Cyber Security Manager to provide end-to-end service management for Metso's Security Operations globally. As a Cyber Security Manager, you will ensure the success of all security related operational services, and work on the development and continuous improvement in an agile working model. You will also work closely with both internal and external stakeholders in Metso Group. You will also work closely with vendors, partners, and business lines.
As security is at the core of all our development this position will be part of a team which will implement Metso level security best practices and keep the Metso business secure. We appreciate that you may have hands-on experience in this role. You lead the design, building and implementation with our engineers and partners.
This position is mainly located in Espoo or Tampere, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the Delivery, Development and Management of Metso Security Operations and ensure Vendor, Partner and internal Stakeholder Management throughout the service lifecycle. You are responsible primarily for overall Security Operations activities. These include, but are not limited to:
- Service Operations
- Ensuring the success of Security Operations: Security incidents, Events, Problems, Change, Asset Management, Knowledge Management and Request Fulfillment activities.
- Ensuring agreed service levels and quality for all Security Operations related services are maintained.
- Ensuring the security of Security Operations Services configurations and environments in co-operation with security team.
- Service & Technology Strategy and Design
- Ensuring Security Operations services architecture and technologies are fit for purpose and optimally designed, developed, and improved and are aligned and planned together with regional IT and other service managers.
- Security Operations Services Demand, Capacity and Availability Management.
- Service & Technology Transition
- Ensuring new Security Operations Services technologies and services, and changes to existing services, are transitioned into production in a controlled manner following Metso project management techniques and methodologies, and at least risk to the business and its operations.
- Ensuring that Security Operations Services assets and configurations are properly managed (Service Asset and Configuration Management) and documented.

The role of the Security Operations (SO) lead is multifaceted and critical for maintaining Metso's security. Here are the key responsibilities expected from the person leading a Metso Security Operations:
- Must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strategic Leadership:
- Vision and Strategy: The SO Lead must define the strategic vision for the SOC, aligning it with the organization's overall security goals.
- Risk Management: They assess risks, prioritize threats, and allocate resources effectively.
- Operational Oversight:
- Team Management: The SO Lead supervises internal and external security operational teams ensuring efficient operations.
- Process Optimization: They continuously improve SO processes, workflows, and incident response procedures.
- Resource Allocation: Allocating resources (staff, tools, budget) to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Technical Expertise:
- Threat Intelligence: Staying updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
- Incident Response: Leading incident investigations, coordinating response efforts, and ensuring timely resolution.
- Tool Selection and Deployment: Choosing and configuring security tools for monitoring and detection.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Working closely with other teams (IT, legal, compliance) to address security issues.
- Reporting and Communication: Regularly communicating SO performance, incidents, and trends to management.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Training and Development: Ensuring SO staff receive relevant training and certifications.
- Metrics and KPIs: Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure SO effectiveness.
