Job Responsibilities

As a constantly growing company, Danfoss is looking for motivated employees who want to work with us on our success. We are seeking the ideal Cybersecurity Engineer to join our diverse team.

 

In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for the electrification of on and off-highway vehicles through embedded software development, as such you will

  • Plan, coordinate and implement cybersecurity activities in the project.
  • Manage creation and continuous update of cybersecurity plan, work products and cybersecurity case of the project.
  • Act as a main contact with customers, suppliers and subcontractors on the cybersecurity topics.
  • Guide the execution of Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) in collaboration with other functional engineers.
  • Lead the creation of cybersecurity concept including defining the cybersecurity goals and requirements for the product.
  • Support system, HW and SW design teams with technical solutions, processes and guidelines related to cybersecurity to successfully achieve required cybersecurity level for the product.
  • Assist in planning and executing cybersecurity testing, verification and validation.
  • Compile the cybersecurity case and support in succesful completion of cybersecurity assessment and audit.
  • Help developing and establishing effective cybersecurity culture, processes and guidelines for the organization.

Background & Skills

  • B.Sc. or equivalent in suitable field (e.g. software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering) with 3+ years' experience of cybersecurity development for automotive projects.

  • Excellent knowledge of Cyber Security methodology, standards and regulations (e.g. UN R155, R156, ISO 21434, IEC 62443, ISO 27001, SAE J3061).

  • Excellent technical understanding for detecting, assessing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks in the context of embedded system development.

  • Good understanding of cybersecurity testing methods (e.g. functional testing, vulnerability scanning, fuzz testing and penetration testing).

  • Good understanding of requirements management, quality management and product development life cycle processes.

  • Basic knowledge of communication and diagnostic protocols and standards (e.g. CAN, CANopen, J1939, UDS, Ethernet).

  • Being an effective team player, yet not afraid of working independently or taking responsibility.

  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.

 

Appreciated skills and qualifications

  • M.Sc. or D.Sc. in suitable field (e.g. software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering) with 5+ years' experience of cybersecurity development for automotive projects.

  • Understanding of functional safety requirements in the automotive environment.

  • Understanding of power electronic converters and electric traction systems.
