About this opportunity
You’ll join Group Finance, where we provide Nordea Bank Abp’s financial information and insightful analysis to meet business needs and regulatory requirements. Our role is to provide expertise towards financial, regulatory and tax accounting related topics and frameworks.
What you’ll be doing:
- Work as Senior Controller to take responsibility of Nordea Bank Abp, the parent bank and its branches, financial accounting and tax reporting in your responsibility area
- Assess impact of regulatory requirements on financial regulatory reporting
- Participate in preparing analysis on NBAbp’s financial information
- Monitor and interpret requirements, taking into account ECB/FSA requirements, FAS and IFRS principles and local tax laws. Convert the changing demands into processes and reporting to ensure compliance with regulations
- Take part in managing the framework for financial reporting and disclosures of Nordea Bank Abp.
- Take a role in identifying opportunities and performing change in various initiatives or when it comes to continuous enchancements of the financial reporting, financial accounting and tax reporting frameworks
- Be part of the Parent Bank Finance unit in a close cross-border collaboration with your Nordic colleagues in local Finance units

Your profile and background:
- Master's degree or similar academic qualification with specialisation in accounting and/or finance and tax
- You have some years of work experience in financial information (IFRS/FAS), financial regulations, tax accounting and tax reporting
- You have experience in translating external and internal principles and requirements into value-adding financial accounting, financial regulatory reporting and tax analysis
- Good analytical skills and ability to grasp big picture as well as details. You have passion to continuously improve the framework and processes you are responsible for. You take initiatives to find solutions which work group-wide
- You show ownership and integrity, you value collaboration as a team player with positive attitude and good communication skills
- Professional level spoken and written English is required
- You are a skilled in HFM/Hyperion, experience in SAP and other systems is an advantage
